| Summer Reading Opportunities 2011 |
This summer we have a lot going on. Make sure that you keep up with all of the books you read and you will have a lot of awards for continuing to read throughout the summer. Take a look at what you can do to earn prizes from Jefferson Parkway, Barnes & Noble, and the Coweta County Public Libraries - Central Library and The A. Mitchell Powell Public Library (formerly known as the Newnan-Coweta Public Library).
Jefferson Parkway
Fill out the form I sent home (or keep up with the books you read on a piece of paper). Get a parent to initial each book and turn the list in to your new homeroom teacher in August. You will then be invited to our Summer Readers' Party in August. There will be food and prizes for all who are invited! You can read magazines, newspapers, or even books from websites listed on this website.
Barnes & Noble
Read 8 books (from home, library or bookstores) and write down those books. Take the list in to Barnes & Noble to receive a free book! Go to http://bn.com/summerreading to download a passport and keep track of the books you read. You can download the journal at that site.
