- The Student Instruction Plan was developed as part of the coursework for MEDT 7461.
- This plan enabled me to explore different levels of the Georgia Curriculum as part of instructional design. I was able to look at and evaluate several plans to assess if the plans addressed learner interests and needs, as well as address instructional methodologies and information processes. As I assessed the presented lesson plans I had to ensure that all learners were included (diverse learning styles, abilities and needs. This reflects AASL Standard 2.1 Knowledge of Learners and Learning.
- The plan also demonstrated the UWG CoE Conceptual Framework characteristics of Adaptive, Culturally Sensitive, and Empathetic. I demonstrated Adaptive by the flexibility and strategic planning which is appropriate to wide variety of learners, throughout the plan. The plan was Culturally Sensitive because the was an awareness and understanding of individual and group differences. The plan was Empathetic because there was a sensitivity for individual, family and institutional needs.
