Newsletter
  • This newsletter was developed as part of coursework in MEDT 6461 to inform stakeholders of events in the media center.
  • The Newsletter helped me address student interests. It also allowed me to communicate and interpret intellectual content. In newsletters I can communicate legal and ethical issue such as copyright. These support AASL Standard 1.1, Efficient and Ethical Information Seeking Behavior.
  • It addresses the need for access to information and identify the barriers to equitable access to resources and services as described in AASL Standard 1.3, Access to Information.
  • The newsletter discussed the connection with the library community with potential to connect with other libraries described in AASL Standard 3.1, Connection with Library Community.
  • This newsletter addressed Georgia Performance Standards and the Media Center can help. This demonstrates my knowledge of the curriculum and content areas. It also addresses removal of barriers that impede life-long learning and how we can work together to help students learn. These support the UWG CoE Conceptual Framework of Decision Makers, Leaders, Collaborative, Knowledgeable, and Proactive.
