- The Instructional Project was developed as part of the coursework for MEDT 7461.
- The Modules for Staff Development were selected because they were areas in which teachers needed extra instruction in order to be co-teachers with the media specialist. This shows that I am an effective and knowledgeable teacher because I was able to assess the needs of the learner (teacher) and address that need in a staff development module. This reflects the AASL Standard 2.2, Effective and Knowledgeable Teacher.
- The modules also demonstrate that I employ strategies to integrate the information literacy curriculum and incorporate technology to promote efficient and equitable access to information beyond print resources. This directly relates to the AASL Standard 2.3 Information Literacy Curriculum.
- Because the modules are designed as staff development opportunities for teachers, they reflect the AASL Standard 3.2 Instructional Partner.
- These modules also reflect the UWG CoE Conceptual Framework characteristics of Decision Maker, Collaborative, Knowledgeable, and Reflective.
