• The Floor Plan of the Media Center was developed as part of the coursework for MEDT 6461.
• The floor plan demonstrates the ways in which I establish and maintain a positive educational climate in the media center. I was able to identify the relationships among facilities, programs, and environment that impact student learning. I was able to plan and organize the media center according to its use by the learning community. This reflects AASL Standard 1.4, Stimulating Learning Environment.
• The plan also show several characteristics of the UWG CoE Conceptual Framework. The plan shows that I am Adaptive because I demonstrate flexibility and strategic planning. The plan also shows that I am Culturally Sensitive because I was aware and had an understanding of individual and group differences when creating a plan for the media center. Finally the plan reflected the attribute of Empathetic. The plan allowed for me to show that I was able to develop the sensitivity for individual, family, and institutional needs.
