The Standards
Helping students find information is vitally important. The amount of information in the world is growing exponentionally each day. If we can help students find the information they need and teach them how to assess and use the information, then we have given them the skills they need to be lifelong learners.
Take a look at Information Literacy Skills to see what media specialists and teachers should be doing to help students be successful in the 21st Century. Notice how the correlate to what we are teaching them by implementing the Georgia Performance Standards.
